Best answer:

Answer by Mr S
It’s a right triangle. Hypotenuse 45 ft, base X, height X+9.

X^2 + (X+9)^2 = 45^2
2X^2 + 18x – 1944 = 0
X = 27 (Quadratic formula)

Height = X + 9

36
