I mounted a Kodak Zi6 flash memory camcorder on a stunt kite and got some surprisingly good video footage from the kite’s perspective. Low passes over the sand and high views of the surf really make this video interesting.

This is a Veho Muvi mini video camera I recieved as a gift. With the smallness of the camera I instantly started coming up with interesting ideas of what I could do with it. A trip to Wally World and a 3$ kite was all I needed to get this idea literally off the ground. After several attempt to attach the camera to the kite I noticed that it was throwing off the weight of the kite and it wouldn’t fly for very long. After two or three different set up I finally got the kite to fly. It was a rather gusty day as the wind was either 20 mph or nothing. My brother helped me with the launch and before long we had drawn the attention of the horses in the field. I know the footage is very shaky and I think I will experiment with different mount on the kite or string to see if anything else works better. Next time I am hoping to go higher.
